When are Parent Preview Sessions?
The 2016 McDaniel Parent Preview Sessions will occur on the following dates:
Sunday and Monday, July 10-11, 2016
Friday and Saturday, July 15-16, 2016
Why should parents/families/guardians attend?
The Preview Program is specifically designed for parents/families/guardians. In addition to having opportunities to ask questions to college faculty, administration, and staff; you will learn about academic and residence life, student financial services, and other college functions. This is also a great opportunity to meet and mingle with other parents of new McDaniel College students.
What is provided for you at Parent Preview?
An opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and administrators, all meals and snacks, helpful materials, full linen/blanket/pillow and towel service!
What will you need to bring?
Casual clothing, comfortable walking shoes, an alarm clock, an umbrella, and semi-casual dress for the banquet.
(Please note: all academic buildings are air-conditioned. Parents will be staying in air-conditioned campus residence halls overnight as well.)
Who coordinates Parent Preview?
The Office of Student Engagement coordinates Parent Preview. The student affairs staff and Preview Guides will be here to assist you during your stay. The Preview Guide staff is made up of McDaniel students who have gone through extensive training to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. These students make up the heart of Parent Preview.
How much does Parent Preview cost?
Cost includes housing, meals, giveaways and a comprehensive 200+ page notebook of McDaniel reference materials. Registration costs $130 per person from April 1 to June 10. After June 10 registration costs $145 per person.
